Some Convention News
Written by Solarmech

GenCon is going to upon us soon (August 14-17) and of course the folks from Classic Battletech will be there. Here are a few of the things that will be there (Posted by Vairdic on the Classic BattleTech Forums).

First off, here's a quick list of some of what will be at the convention!

-Tactical Operations
-Starterbook: Wolf & Blake
-BattleMaster Logo shirts (they ROCK)
-BattleMaster Logo Sweatshirts (I know, its summer, but I STILL wore mine all during Origins)
-Word of Blake Logo Shirts
-Wolf's Dragoon Logo Shirts

In addition, we'll have all the product that has been released so far (Box Set, Starterbook Sword & Dragon, TRO3039, TRO3050 Upgrade, TRO 3075, Blake Ascending, Hot Spots 3072, Jihad Conspiracies, and The Corps Anthology).

We've got a stack of events planned as well for all levels of player. From in-booth demos for those interested in just learning, to the major universe deciding Battle for Odessa, home of one of the Word of Blake's Five Worlds!

Also don't forget:

Embassy Suites--Chancellor 3

And at MechaCon (August 1-3 in Lafayette, LA) they have a set of VWE Tesla II BattleTech: Firestorm cockpits through the efforts of the The MechCorps crew from Houston, TX. May not be much other BattleTech stuff there, but those alone should make the trip worthwhile. Thanks to Propwash for giving us the heads up on this.

Camo Specs Online for Classic BattleTech

Camo Specs Online is a site that is dedicated to BattleTech miniatures. Not only are there step by step instructions for painting mechs and other CBT units, there is also a gallery showing some truly astounding work. Right now they have a "special project" going on depicting units from the Technical Readout: 3075. Well worth a look.

From Adrian-MGT

In tradition of Max Gaming's development practices we are looking for players to voice their opinion on what the first MAV pack will include. It is important to us as a small developer to get players input, and being the Aftermath is a mech game, this communities opinons mean alot.

New MAV on the block.
