Dragon, Cauldron-Born, Masakari, Novacat, Sunder, Deimos.

My personal favorite used to be the Atlas, but the Black Heart has really been growing on me.
RkShaRkz
I used to like Atlas... then i kinda learned to play and figured out i could never come up with a good rig for him ... I guess he'll be back in my regular assaults when MP4 comes out, cuz of all the juicy eletconics he can pack wink.gif

I really like Sunder tho... 4LGLAS, Heavy Gauss, beefed up armor and electronics ... ony of my fav rigs really smile.gif
zLobster
Light: Jenner because i like fire-support mechs. Jenner is fast so it can appear from nowhere and disappear by jumping over enemy mech leaving him behind with thouse SRMs in CT =)
Medium: Nova i think. Good omni with many possible configs.
Heavy: Bowman and Wildcat. Bowman - because of that Arrows in default config and Wildcat because it can be configured in many ways. Just change crac20s to other balistic weapon and add/remove support weapons and you will have sniper or short range fighter with ease.
Assault: Stalker. It's hard for me to manage with all that heat, but Stalker rules. Behemoth - just because i love it.
Onyx
Deimos
SgtMagor
I like them all, just not enough time to pilot them all oi! cwm32.gif
Dork Storm
hmm Sunder and Daishi used to be my favourites,

Daishi
Triple Cln Gauss
Dual ERPPC
Dual ERPulse

IIRC

and my sunder was

2ERPPC
2ERLRGLASER
4MedPulse
Abbo
Pulse Atlas + uac10 uziel for FFA games.
:Ghost:
Marauder hvac10, ppc, capppc
Cyclops 2hvac10, ppc, minigauss, rocket launcher
Masakari 2cgauss, erppc, lppc

Madcat - 2xERPPC 2xALRM20

Fafnir, max armor, dual HGRs, some ISLLs. This is an incredibly powerful close-in DF support unit. It also makes a great damage sponge for when you run out of ammunition. Just run in and distract them with your fresh, juicy, full 25 tons of FF and let your buddy in the other assault rip him up.
Awesome, quad PPCs. The term 'butchery' doesn't even begin to describe the havoc this thing bestows on the battlefield at long range.
Cauldron-Born, SRM6s and dual LBX20s. Practically impossible to kill and it's got incredible firepower.
Bushwacker mounting LRMs and an HVAC10.
Razorback with dual HMGs and dual SMPLS, with games that have attrition it is king of point-grabber and it's a tough little 'Mech. I managed to edge everyone on the server out by 1000 points in one game while playing a fatty-fest. Not enough of a threat to scare them but I still rack up points like no other.
For non-attrition, stock Solitaire minus HSMLAS with some additional armor.
malice
Hunchie 2 and the Katapult.

Masakari 2cgauss, erppc, lppc

psh that's a sissy mech.

2cgauss, 2erppc, cuac2, ATM12 + BAP, EO + 1 engine upgrade

and no heatsinks, you got coolant and shutdown override for a reason smile.gif

My favourites are....oh wait isn't this the 4th time I've seen a thread like this? blah

1) Novacat/Madcat mk2
2) Battlemaster/Battlemaster 2c
3) Thor
4) Masakari
5) Katapult
Project Dark Fox
Light:
Puma: Apocalyptic firepower on such a small frame? F*** yes.
Common configuration mounts an ER Large Laser and a Gauss Rifle. Automatic PureTech design.

Owens: With speed and the ability to mount many missiles and some heavy lasers, this thing can really trash some opponents.
Common configuration mounts 4 Streak SRM4 with 2 Heavy Small Lasers and 1 Heavy Medium Laser. I don't have a PureTech answer.

UrbanMech: I shall always have a place in my heart for the walking trashcan of death.
Common Configuration mounts a Clan Ultra AC/20 only. PureTech mounts an HVAC/20 with a Medium Laser.

Medium:
Strider: Don't. Ask. tongue.gif
Common configuration mounts 6 Streak SRM4. No PureTech answer.

Bushwacker: We have been great friends since MW3, you and I. I have always cared for you as you have cared for me... to death we shall go together, my sweetheart.
Common Configuration mounts a Clan LB-X AC/20, 2 Streak SRM 4, and 2 Heavy Machine Gun. PureTech downgrades the AC/20 to a 10, the SRMs replaced with LRM 5s, and adds a Large Laser.

Heavy:
Catapult: While only playing fire support, this thing can mount a crapload of missiles. Coupled with its ability to really haul butt given the opportunity, it's like a lumbering monstrosity with some substantial laser slots.
No common configuration, I have a lot of crazy designs.

Marauder: Not the fastest, but godsdamn does he pack a punch. I'm surprised at how few people forget about the dorsal cannon, but even if I lose it my withering array of lasers will finish anyone.
Common configuration mounts a Clan Ultra AC/20 with 2 tons of ammo, 2 Large Lasers, and 5 Medium Lasers. PureTech changes the UAC20 to an HVAC20.

Warhammer: A good all-round 'Mech which I have configured for speed and concentrated punch. It's lacking its trademark PPCs, though...
Common configuration mounts 2 Large Lasers, 2 Clan LB-X AC/10s, and a Streak SRM6. PureTech removes the SSRM6s and switches the techbase of the LBX cannons.

Assault:
Awesome: I actually strip a PPC off and focus on heat management and armor with this design. While it can snipe, I prefer to get down and dirty with it instead.
Common configuration mounts two PPCs and two large lasers with a crapload of heat sinks and more armor. Automatic PureTech design.

I don't drive anything heavier than 80 tons in MW4. Anything heavier and I feel too sluggish.
NS13 Vertigo
Light: Owens. I have done things in an Owens that defy my own belief. Toss on a LXPL and some streaks and you've got something nasty.

Medium: Nothing tops the Bushie. Dear God I love the fact this thing can't die. Preferred build is CLBX20, ERLL, SSRM6, SSRM4 x 3. Just chews through armor like nobody's business and gets tons of points because of it.

Heavy: Thanatos for the same reason as the Bushie. Heavy on the LBX and a few large lasers to round things out.

Assault: Forever and always my love the Zeus. LXPL, MXPL x 2, CUAC10 x 2. Primary goal is to rock that reticle all over the place! I love my Zeus, side torsos and all.
[col]deathkiller
Uziel, Hunchback Owens and Wasp.

Heavy: Catapult / Avatar -> support mech / versatility
Assault: Fafnir -> firepower

Clan
Light: Puma -> firepower
Medium: Shadow Cat -> electronics
Heavy: Summoner -> versatility
Assault: Daishi -> FIREPOWER

Light: Cougar FTW (even though it isn't MP3), I just absolutely love that slow little light mech.

Medium: I'm a big fan of the Nova, looks great and is an effective and nasty in-fighting (my favorite style of combat)

Heavy: Always and forever: The Timber Wolf (Madcat for you freebirths out there). I've always just loved the look and reputation of this baby.

Assault: Well aside the Turkina... coughcough.... I'd say my favorite is either the Daishi or the Masakari.
Rymosrac
I've always LOVED the warhawk / masakari. Beautiful mech. And awesome speed for an assault, too. Shame it handles like a drunken cow.
Buckethead_911
ugh..tough decision..puretech only smile.gif

Guess its supernova 'cause it's just beautiful.. u can't put anything on it, but 4 ERPPCs do their damage and are more heat efficient than 6ERLGLASERs..
Anything else and u will end up draining a whole lake..hope it will get tweaked..

But seriously its novacat...

Why would a mech get taken out of the MP's huh.gif

Cougar is in there, needs a new skin but it's included.

You really should try a quad-PPC configuration, I've killed Fafnirs, Masakaris, just about everything with it at some point or another.
One time I even brawled with it at the memorial slug-fest for Neuromancer and took out a ballistic-loaded Daishi at 400 meters. upto.gif

I've considered it (in fact I use an AWS-9Q [4 PPCs] in tabletop frequently), however my hand isn't steady enough to keep my shots straight -- it's a pilot preference. I'll chain fire by firing the two PPCs then the two Large Lasers a tic later instead of blowing the entire shot at once and wasting a bunch of heat.

Thanks, Sam. I love you too wub.gif
However, since I find gauss to fail most of the shoots, I am trying some new configs without them. One is my beloved 4erppc Masakari, only in cold maps... slow, but what a punch. The other one has 2 erppc and 3 cuac5. Have to test them more in Sunder, but of course my skill sucks so I think I´m going to fail lol.

What I meant was that the mech wasnt added with MP3. The topic says favorite MP3 mech, but the cougar was in Mw4 before MP3, thats all I meant.
