Full Version: Will annoying little things be changed in MP4?

Will the mechlab open to the last mech I worked on? That would be great.

Can mechs have a different radar blip than other targets? That would be very useful. If not, maybe moving targets could show up in a different color or as a different symbol.

Will I be able to cycle through radar contacts from nearest target to farthest instead of in some seemingly random fashion? Guess I am not really sure how it works now.

Multiple target tracking (highlighting) would be great, but that would be a major change. Actually, a new screen where you can completely customize how your radar works would be cool. This could be available in lobby or as part of the mechlab or as one of the escape screen options.

the things you mentioned dont realy annoy me - but you have a point with the mechlab. starting with the mech last worked on. i think that is a nice idea.

when it comes to gameply - there was only one thing that realy annoyes me. the fact that a singt tree or a stone or even a chunck of whatever plant can stop a whole alphastrike. it makes sense that a tree can stop or disperse some of the damage but alphastrikes in the 100+ range?

THAT IS SO ANNOYING

On some maps when I attack on missionplay I have to cycle through all the turrets to get a lock on a mech. Then when I finally do get a lock on someone I usually pass it by accident because I'm trying to get through all the turrets. It's horrible.

The extremely annoying bug that happens to me frequently is when I have to join the mechlab or get out of mechlab just to fix the "wrong combo box variant's content".

I notice it happens whenever I choose a mech with TONS of variants, select a variant, then I select another mech, only to get the wrong set of variants for it.

Totally agree. At the end, the best thing I can do is go radar off, just to evade turret locking and try to spot enemies with the eyes...

It's that kind of situation I keep "target object under reticule" bound for.

There aught to also be a "choose previous target" option that you can bind. Last I remember, you can cycle backwards as well as forwards through targets.
Rymosrac
There is. Did you mean something else by "select previous target"?

I think he means if you Q-lock two different targets (like target 1 and 4 out of 7) you ought to be able to jump between them without cycling through or re-Q-locking.

since radar is based on LOS now, you won't have as many signatures.
but srsly, you've got "target under reticule", "next enemy", "prev enemy" and "nearest enemy" ... keep em close and use them ffs smile.gif

This bug can also be fixed by going to the mech whose variant set is being displayed and then scrolling up to the top of the list. You can then choose a different mech and the problem will go away. That's what I always did.
