hey all, it's been a while since I posted here and I'm not sure where to post this:

I got a problem going from "mekpak302a" to "mekpak302b"

here is the problem, I've already posted this on mechwarriorleagues.com, but I thought it might be a good idea to post it here as well:

"Mekpak302a" installs fine, but it is only AFTER "mekpak302b" is installed that the game will not boot.

The best way I can describe what happens when I install "mekpak302b" is this:

Whenever you boot up this game after installing a mekpak, first, a picture of a Fafnir blowing up an Owens appears then goes away...then a large window with nothing but black appears, then a small "auto config" window pops up for you to configure the settings on the graphics. After you use that auto config, then the game boots up.

...When I boot up the game AFTER installing "mekpak302b", the picture of the Fafnir blowing up the owens appears, and then the black window litterally blinks for a split-second and the auto config window doesn't show up at all...so in simplist terms, when I boot up the game, the only thing that happens is a large black window appears then dissapears for a split-second...and then nothing.

(Oh btw, I'm not sure if this is relavant, but my operating system is windows vista, and during the whole installing and updating process, I did EVERYTHING as administrator. Doing everything as administrator has solved all my install problems except this one.)

There are known issues with Windows Vista which we are working to address. Do you have the Microsoft MechPaks installed?

Have you tried manually running the AutoConfig tool from your Start Menu?
Start Button > Microsoft Games > Mechwarrior4 Mercenaries > AutoConfig
